Last weekend I tested once again the new skirmish rules by Xyston, one of my friend. It's a simple realistic rule and it's really fun and easy. You can play medieval, antiquity or modern warfare. In few months I am going to try to adapt the rule with the background of Planet of the Apes and when he will have ended the rules for good, I would translate the rules in english.
Some pictures of our last game with medieval miniatures.
Now it's time to speak about WWI. With Xyston we decided to play again the rule The Great War from Warhammer Historical, it's a very good set of rules, based on WK40. You need a lot of miniatures and big tables, so we decided to build new armies in the future for the end of the war with 20mm miniatures (1/72) because it's cheaper ! 50 euros for a big army of 1 000 pts and you can paint faster than with 28mm miniatures. The photos which follow come from or last game of yesterday, a 1914 battle between french and german, we played with Renegade miniatures, a very good brand in metal, 28mm. I lost... I hate his french HMG.
